The Ukraine-USA Pen Pal Program connects American and Ukrainian middle and high school students through email. Students are matched by age, interests, and aspirations. The correspondence is organized through teachers on both sides. There is no cost.

Chris Mead, a retired executive in Northern Virginia, started the program in 2022. Five years in, the program has matched more than 5,000 students.
